PAI Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Conducts Internal Quality Audit to Strengthen Academic Quality and Governance
The Islamic Education (PAI) Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta conducted an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The activity was part of the study program’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of higher education, governance, and academic services.
The Internal Quality Audit was conducted for the Undergraduate (S1) and Doctoral (S3) Islamic Education Study Programs and involved internal auditors Dr. Festy Mahanani M., MPH. and Dr. Mikhriani Michdor. The audit was also attended by the management of the PAI Undergraduate Study Program, including Head of the PAI Undergraduate Study Program, Prof. Mohammad Agung Rokhimawan, M.Pd., and Secretary of the Study Program, Asniyah Nailasari, M.Pd.
The AMI is an important instrument within the university’s internal quality assurance system. Through this activity, the study programs were given an opportunity to systematically evaluate the implementation of academic and non-academic standards and to ensure that various programs and governance practices were carried out in accordance with established quality standards.
During the audit, the auditors examined and evaluated various documents and activities related to the implementation and management of the study programs. The process was not merely focused on administrative compliance but also served as a forum for reflection and evaluation to identify achievements, challenges, and areas that require further improvement.
The participation of the study program leaders and management demonstrated their commitment to maintaining transparency and openness throughout the evaluation process. The feedback, findings, and recommendations provided by the auditors are expected to serve as important references for developing follow-up actions and implementing continuous quality improvements.
The implementation of the Internal Quality Audit also represents an important step in strengthening a culture of quality within the PAI Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Regular evaluation is expected to encourage more effective, transparent, accountable, and quality-oriented management while strengthening academic services for students and other stakeholders.
Through the AMI, the PAI Study Program reaffirmed its commitment to continuous evaluation, improvement, and development. The audit findings are expected to be followed up through strategic and measurable actions to strengthen the quality of the Undergraduate and Doctoral Islamic Education Study Programs, while supporting the advancement of Islamic education that is excellent, adaptive, and sustainable.(Muhammad Zakariyya)
