| Description | The Ulumul Qur'an course is one of the characteristic courses at the State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta which discusses three main issues; history, function and position of the Qur'an; representative issues in Al-Qur'an sciences, and key material related to Al-Qur'an interpretation. These issues are discussed through a historical-descriptive framework with the aim of training students to think logically and analytically. This course is categorized as a general religious course with an emphasis on matters related to the sciences of the Koran. At the paradigmatic level, the aim of this course is to internalize integrative-interconnective reasoning in issues related to the Koran with a scientific basis in the study program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. |
