| Description | The Introduction to Islamic Studies course is a compulsory university course. The scientific function of this course is expected to be able to enable students to see and appreciate Islam from various aspects of approach. This goal is expected to be able to give birth to a wise attitude towards Islam as a sense of religion. Bearing in mind, currently many people are trapped in narrow understandings of Islamic teachings. Apart from that, it is hoped that Introduction to Islamic Studies will be able to inspire students to care as Muslim figures about actual issues such as terrorism, gender, local culture, technological and scientific advances. This course is also intended to provide provisions for students to become researchers in the field of Islam. |
